Radiant Heating

Radiant heating is one of the most comfortable and efficient ways to heat a home. Instead of blowing warm air through ducts, radiant systems deliver heat directly through floors, walls, or ceilings, warming people and objects in the space rather than just the air. This creates a consistent, even warmth without drafts or cold spots.

How Radiant Heating Works

Most residential radiant systems use hydronic (water-based) tubing installed beneath the floor. Warm water circulates through the tubing, gently heating the floor surface, which then radiates heat upward into the room. Electric radiant systems are also available and are often used in smaller spaces like bathrooms or additions.

Benefits of Radiant Heating

Superior comfort — Even heat distribution eliminates cold spots and temperature swings
Energy efficiency — Lower operating temperatures can reduce energy use
Quiet operation — No fans, blowers, or duct noise
Improved indoor air quality — No dust or allergens circulated through ductwork
Warm floors — Especially appreciated during cold Michigan winters
Zoning capability — Heat only the areas you use most
